The basic ingredient used for XELLENT vodka is pure, first-class Swiss Picasso and Matador rye. It is grown in the alpine foothills of central Switzerland, at altitudes of 500 to 800 metres. We use only the very best breadquality rye. This limits the available quantity, but the quality is all the better for it. distilled to perfection. The starch in the ground rye is released, liquefied, converted to grain sugar and gently distilled in a threestep process. In the first stage - and this is unique for vodka - the fermented mash is carefully distilled in a traditional, small copper alembic still. This gives XELLENT Swiss Vodka its incomparable flavour. In the second phase, the raw spirit is purified in a reflux still consisting of a small copper column with 45 plates.
DIWISA is the only distillery which possesses equipment of the kind required to produce vodka of this quality. But even at this stage, the vodka falls short of our exacting standards. So we distil the spirit a third time to remove any remaining impurities, a process which also refines and harmonizes its flavour. After the third distillation, the vodka presents an alcohol content of over 96% vol. (192 vol. proof) and has now the typical unique XELLENT taste. pure glacier water.
After resting for several months, the vodka is gently diluted with water. The quality of the water used for XELLENT is crucial: coming from the Titlis glacier in Engelberg (mountain of angels) at the heart of central Switzerland, it is soft, rich in oxygen and minerals, and elegantly underscores the fine flavour of rye vodka. With all the clarity of pure crystal, only now will it satisfy the palate of the discerning connoisseur. Stir the vodka, vermouth and ice cubes in a cocktail shaker. Strain into a cocktail glass and dribble the Curaçao Blue over the cocktail. Xellent Heaven is refreshingly heavenly. Fill a long-drink glass with crushed ice, add 5 cl XELLENT Swiss Vodka and one teaspoonful each of lime juice, Canadou cane syrup and fresh strawberry puree. Stir through with a long spoon to give the drink a beautiful reddish colour. Then with Brut champagne and garnish with a fresh strawberry
XELLENT Spring should be drunk immediately through a straw.

Muddle the ginger, mint leaves, and the syrup in the of a mixing glass. Add the vodka lemon juice, grenadine, and water and shake well. Strain into a highball glass filled with ice and, garnish with a lemon wedge and the mint sprig.

size1 2.5 ounces XELLENT Swiss Vodka 0.5 ounce of sweet Kirschwasser 1 lemon wedge 1 pitted kirsch marinated cherry

1 Pour the first two ingredients over ice cubes in a cocktail shaker glass and squeeze the lemon wedge to express the juice into the shaker glass and then trop it into the glass. Stir to chill. Strain into a chilled martini glass and garnish with the marinated cherry and a flamed lemon peel. Note: With some of these fresh fruit martinis use of a tea strainer will make a better looking drink.
b Velvet Strawberry b 1,5 ounces XELLENT Swiss Vodka ¼ ounce Velvet Falernum 3 strawberries 1 lychee nut
½ ounce honey syrup (two parts honey thinned with one part water) Mash the lychee and two strawberries in the of a mixing glass with velvet Falernum honey syrup. Add XELLENT Swiss Vodka and lemon juice and shake with ice. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Use the remaining strawberry as a garnish on the rim of the glass.
b Senor Martini b 2,5 ounces XELLENT Swiss Vodka Dash of honey syrup (dissolve honey in warm water) Dash of fresh lemon juice Dash fino sherry Dash real pomegranate grenadine Orange zest garnish
Shake all the ingredients will with ice and strain into a chilled martini glass garnish with a flamed orange zest.
b Sunshine Martini/Shooter b 1,5 ounces XELLENT Swiss Vodka ½ ounce Galliano Liqueur 2 orange slices
Martini glass frosted with a cinnamon sugar rim Muddle the orange slices with the Galliano in the of a shaker glass. Add the vodka and ice and shake well. Strain into prepared martini glass and garnish with a flamed orange peel.
b Brazilian Martini b 2 ounces XELLENT Swiss Vodka 2 lemon wedges 4 – 5 seedless red grapes ¼ ounces Velvet Falernum (this is a spicy liqueur from Barbados drop this ingredient if unavailable in your market) ¾ ounce simple syrup
Muddle the grapes, simple syrup, and the lemons in the of the glass half of the shaker. Add the vodka and shake well. Fine strain into a chilled martini glass and garnish with a grape and a thin wheel of lime on a pick.
b XELLENT Melons (Martini/Shooter) b 2 ounces XELLENT Swiss Vodka 2 strawberries 3 watermelon cubes 1 lemon wedge ½ ounce Lemon syrup
Muddle the fruits and syrup together in the glass half of a Boston shaker. Add the vodka and shake well with ice. Strain into a chilled Martini glass and garnish with a flamed lemon peel.
b XELLENT Cheri Caipiroska b Half e lemon quartered (if not seedless remove the seeds) 4 pitts fresh cherries 1 ounce simple syrup
Muddle the limes, cherries and simple syrup in a cocktail shaker glass. Add XELLENT and fill an old fashioned glass with ice and dump it into the shaker.
